Research Update

Linked below is the Import-Export Report for July 2020. 

As we provided you earlier this week, key findings are below:

  • July 2020 volumes were down 1.5% compared to July 2019 and overall volumes are down 11.8% year-to-date.
  • Mexico volumes were up 0.3% for July but are still down 11.2% year-to-date following Mexican brewery closures for April and May.
  • Imports from the Netherlands were up 9.7% July 2020 over July 2019, and are now down 4.8% year-to-date.
  • July 2020 saw a 6.71% increase in bottle volume over July 2019, while cans were down 6.38%.

Please note that the numbers reflect updated information published by the Department of Commerce for 2017-2019.

Future 2020 Import-Export Reports will be released on:

  • October 6
  • November 4
  • December 4
