Summer Leadership Camp Check-in Process Level 1 Arrival: Saturday, July 17th
Camp Check-in is from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on your arrival day. The first meal served at camp will be dinner (approximately 6 p.m.) so a meal of significance should be eaten before you arrive at check-in Camp Check-in Process Step 1: As you approach Albion campus, turn onto Jackson St and continue until your vehicle reaches our first checkpoint. Step 2: Once at the first checkpoint, show proof of full COVID vaccination to a camp staff team member. Step 3. Continue on Jackson St and turn into the Jackson St parking lot. Step 4: Head directly into Baldwin Hall using the staircase located between Baldwin and Seaton Hall (camp staff will be onsite to help direct). Once inside Baldwin Hall, campers will officially check-in to camp and receive your check-in materials and dorm room assignment. (Campers can leave belongings in their vehicle while checking-in and return to unload after they receive their dorm assignment and room key.) PLEASE NOTE: Parents and Guardians are not allowed to enter any buildings while on campus, per Albion College policy. This includes dorms for move-in. All goodbyes should be said outside- they are in good hands! Step 5: After you have officially checked in to our Summer Camp, campers may take their belongings to their dorm room. Camp mixers and activities will be held in the QUAD until we begin our Opening Ceremony at 3:00 p.m. (The Quad is also outlined on the above attached map) Option B: Onsite COVID-19 Rapid Test Albion College will have a clearance station set up during arrival time of your camp. Step 2: Once at the first checkpoint, inform a camp staff team member that you need to take a rapid antigen test. Step 3. A camp staff member will direct your vehicle towards our testing station. Please remain in your vehicle as the test is administered. Please wait inside your vehicle until a camp staff team member notifies you of your test results. This process takes between 15-20 minutes. Step 4: After receiving test results, head directly into Baldwin Hall using the staircase located between Baldwin and Seaton Hall (camp staff will be onsite to help direct). Once inside Baldwin Hall, campers will officially check-in to camp and receive your check-in materials and dorm room assignment. Again, we GREATLY appreciate your cooperation to host a safe and successful camp! Camp Packing List IMPORTANT: Personal Water Bottle The dress code for camp is casual. It is usually hot outside, so shorts and summer shirts are permitted. However, the cafeteria and classrooms are air conditioned so we suggest that students carry a long sleeved t-shirt or sweatshirt with them. The dorms are NOT air-conditioned! Please bring clothes that are non-offensive to others: no short shorts or tank tops that reveal any sort of cleavage. Skirts are not allowed (they are not ideal for most camp activities) strapless, backless or midriff shirts are also not allowed. Please also keep hats at home. Please respect other people by dressing appropriately. We highly suggest that students stick to shorts and T-shirts all week as it lends itself to be the most comfortable. Casual means flip-flops and tennis shoes.
