Hello Hot Bottlers!

Cheers for all the kind comments on my new single Snow on the Borderline released into the wild last Friday.  The ultimate lockdown challenge and I loved doing it!  If you haven’t had a chance to listen, you can download it on iTunes, Spotify, and the rest.

CHEW THE FAT

It felt fantastic to go back out into the world last week - at a safe social distance of course - to film new episodes of Chew the Fat with my pal Tom Parker-Bowles for Mail+. We were so thrilled to be welcomed into one of my favourite places in the world - Harvey’s Brewery in Lewes and then treated to a feast courtesy of Caccia & Tails with piles of fabulous focaccia and the best New York cheescake this side of Brooklyn. Look out for the episodes on Mail+ in the coming weeks.

LOCKTAILS

In the meantime, you'll find the latest episode of Locktails on Mail+.  Let me introduce you to the Dirty Bourbon.  Complete with, ahem, icy balls - which as you'll see created some uncontrollable giggles. And a fabulous cold brew tea from Bird & Blend - get stuck in!

A GLASS WITH...Alex Horne!

Today’s episode of A Glass With... is out now! And this week I’m chatting to the hilarious Alex Horne of Taskmaster fame. He’s a very amusing guy and we had a hoot talking about superheroes, comedy and being inspired by 80s gameshows.  Tune in now at aglasswith.com

VALUE VINO

And so to this week's Value Vino. Let's lure the summer back in with these gems.

Stemmari Grillo 2019 (13%) Waitrose £8.99 YES! Upbeat and fruity as mandarins and pineapples on a bouncy castle. This is sensational to pair with prawns and a winning white to pour and revel in sunshine.

Les Breloques Rouge 2018 (13.5%) £8 Co-Op. Plush vibrant dark fruit, a lush generous red that’s full flavoured and barbecue-friendly - apparently the name means 'lucky charm'.

Tesco Verdicchio di Matelica 2018 (12.5%) £6.50 Tesco. Soft yet refreshing, great value and delicious to pair with green pesto pasta dishes. Characterful and classy for the price.

This is Chile Cabernet Sauvignon (Intense & Smooth) 2019 13% £5 Marks & Spencer. Tastes like a blackcurrant that’s been wafted with vanilla - good value for a simple red to pour with your burgers.

Bouvet Saumur Rosé Brut (12.5%) £ 9.99 Majestic. Pink fizz with bracing zing - top stuff for a weekend of bubbles without breaking the bank.

Have a top week, keep in touch.
