the Arts of Piranesi: architect, etcher, antiquarian, vedutista, designer has three spots remaining on the North American and international tour.

the Arts of Piranesi, which opened in Venice in 2010 to rave reviews, is an innovative, interactive exhibition that highlights the diverse artistic skills and the influential role of this eclectic and visionary artist.

Designed by world-renowned architect Michele De Lucchi, the exhibition includes 302 of Piranesi's original etchings from the collection of the Fondazione Giorgio Cini in Venice, Italy, and modern day interpretations of Piranesi's designs. With the help of the most advanced digital technologies and skilled craftsmanship of Factum Arte, guests take a trip through 3D renderings of Piranesi's Prisons. The Caffรจ degli Inglesi is represented as a full-scale evocation and guests can peruse through the artistst's sketchbooks via touch screen browser. Forty three photographs by world-renowned photographer, Gabriele Basilico, pay homage to Piranesi's veduti.
