Solving Problems Together 

Our continued progress in improving the lives of all Oregonians grows out of partnerships, as this month vividly illustrates. We’re bringing together donors, local leaders and volunteers to solve problems — by strengthening communities and helping to ensure that our state’s abundant opportunities extend to people of all backgrounds.

    Boosting Oregon’s Eastern Border Region   

    OCF is helping disperse state-allocated funds for investments in workforce training, housing and economic development in the Oregon’s eastern border region, which is rapidly losing jobs, residents, tax revenue and overall vitality to Idaho. Read more.

    Community Voices: Gabriela Peden

    Central Oregon Latino Partnership Program member Gabriela Peden runs the Juntos Aprendemos program in Central Oregon, which helps young children and their parents to acquire early literacy and school readiness skills. Read more. 

     

    Project Turnkey: A Powerful Public-Private Partnership 

    The new Project Turnkey Report to the Oregon State Legislature outlines the effort that in less than seven months created 19 new shelters in 13 counties, leading to a 20% increase in the state supply of shelter beds. Read more.
