A perfect sunny, 15 degree day greeted a field of nearly 3000 runners and walkers as they lined up for the B&E Burnie 10 and 5km events on Sunday, October 23.
The hotly contested men's race was won by Rio Olympian Brett Robinson in 28 minutes, 29 seconds, followed closely by Jordan Gusman and King Island's Stewart McSweyn.
Fellow Rio Olympian Elouise Wellings took out the women's race in 33 minutes, 19 seconds. Victoria Mitchell crossed the line in second place, followed by Lara Tamsett.
Launceston local, Kate Pedley was the first Tasmanian female across the line in a time of 35 minutes, 21 seconds.
Well done to all those who took on the challenge!
