Best Friends!

Happy Valentine's Day! We couldn't think of a better way to say "I Love You" than by sharing some pictures of some of our past (and present) adoptions and the "love matches' they produced. You'll noticed that some of them did not necessarily start out that way, but with a little time and patience these cats are now the best of friends! Visit our website www.ascscats.org to see our available kitties waiting for their 'love match'.

If YOU have some great pics, send them along with a little story and we will try to get them into our future Mewsletters. We LOVE hearing from you!!

Sumo & Neko Kitty mom Heather wrote in her first email -- "Everything is going great so far! Splash (Neko) has made herself right at home - and they seem to be very at ease with each other... we are quite smitten with our new baby girl. She is affectionate and sweet! Thank you so much!" More...

Julius & ChoCho Both of these adorable boys were adopted from ASCS by Andrea Grigg and Jon Baker. Andrea says "Julius and ChoCho are doing amazing. They are the source of so much love and laughts in our home, we will be forever grateful to your organization." More...

Miles & Bunny Adopted a couple of years ago by Minette Norman and Tom Borromeo, Miles and Bunny could not look any happier! Minette writes "if we wake up in the night we often find Miles and Bunny cuddled at our feet - with Miles grooming a loudly purring Bunny!" More...

Marcel & Clarence Kathryn adopted the handsome Marcel from ASCS several years ago. When he recently (sadly) lost his kitty companion, Kathryn gave the cute, crosseyed Clarence a home. Marcel just adores the little guy!! "I thought you would like this picture of these handsome boys. Marcel and Clarence really love each other. Marcel is resting on his heated bed and Mr. Clarence just has to be near him! It's hard to believe how big Clarence is getting. He has filled out quite a bit and is definitely not underweight anymore. You should hear him when I make breakfast... he meows as if he has never been fed in his life!" More...

Milou & Cosmo Rachel and Duncan "I'm Siberian and really fluffy. I have a fascination with running water – faucets, baths, and love to climb trees and sit in cardboard boxes. I am 3 years old." says Milou. "My favorite toy is Da Mouse and I can jump really high. Milou is a OK for a girl, quite a nice bit of fluff, although she doesn't say much. We get on better every day now that we know where we both stand. I may ask her out for dinner. It is Valentines after all!" says Cosmo. More...

Winky and Willow "Our little girl, Willow, crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on January 24th and Wink was a champion to her. A couple hours before we had to leave for the vet's office he gave her a complete bath head to toe then snuggled with her (the way she loves it with heads butting) all the way up until leaving time. He was amazing and has been all along. I'm so sorry he's lost his girlfriend but am glad we had her at all... even for a short time." More...

Hi! I'm Truman!

I am just wondering when it is my turn to find a new home... I have been available for adoption for awhile now, and no one is calling! I don't understand what the problem is...

Handsome? Yes, I am an unbelievably handsome buff tabby fella. Just look at this picture!!

Sweet? I'm pretty sweet... I can be a bit grumpy when one of the young foster cats is buggin' me (you gotta understand that!).

Older and Wiser?? Yes, it's true, I have been around the block a few times.

Cat friendly?? Sure, I'm ok with another nice cat. If I were to be your only cat, that would be ok, too!!

Dogs?? Not so much!

Kids?? Ditto!!

I really am a nice boy & I love my people — I like to sit quietly with my paw on their arm and just hang out. I am gentle and very loving!

Oh, one more thing — I like a good chat once in awhile... Does it sound like you could love me? Give my people a call...

I'd just love a home for the holidays!!

=^..^= Love,

~Truman

PS: I would like to thank my wonderful and talented photographer for coming and doing a photoshoot with me at my foster home! Rachel Shuler of Mountain Tree Studios and her husband Joel were terrific and patient. Great cat people themselves, they understood that it would take some time for me and my kitty pals to get ready for our close-ups!

Please visit www.ascscats.org to view all our adoptable kitties!

"Not So Crazy Cat People"

Our humans are a diverse group of Not So Crazy Cat People. They have careers that range from service to professional, retailer, graphic designer, author, program manager, software developer, business owner, dancer, teacher, veterinarian. Maybe come and hang out at adoption day and give us kitties head rubs, belly rubs, love... and treats work, too! We’ll purr if you do!!!

Purrs and biscuits to our wonderful volunteers and foster parents:
Marin: Cheryl Beauvais & Tom Montgomery, Sam Bradshaw & Tom Paderna, Ron Capasso, Tripti Noorani and her wonderful family (Ajmal, Sasha, Tina, Arman), Robyn Piper, Heather Rhine, Susan Shea, Becca Martinson and her lovely family
Sacramento: Mary Bruck, Kim Koski, Rosemary Lamb, Chris Levine, Georgann Eberhardt
