Action plan details strategies for economic development program

With the financial support of 115 investors and regional partners, the SBDC has developed an aggressive action plan for 2012 that builds directly upon results made in the last year and maximizes resources to effectively assist companies in creating jobs and investing capital.

Hiring Our Heroes matches veteran talent with local career opportunities

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, working with the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce and several local partners, is seeking employers to exhibit at a Hiring Our Heroes employment fair for veterans and military spouses on March 15 at the National Guard Armory in Springfield.  The Hiring Our Heroes program, launched by the U.S. Chamber in March 2011, has hosted 83 hiring fairs in 41 states, helping more than 81,000 veterans and their spouses finding meaningful employment in the private sector.
