A group of ELC students went on an adventure of a lifetime in February. They spent the weekend taking part in activities such as archery, high ropes, raft building and kayaking. It was a fantastic experience for them. Check out the photos now!

Where are they now?

Lu Nan (Lynn) YANG, China
I studied at the ELC 11 years ago and went on to study Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) at Macquarie University.

My most memorable experience while studying at ELC was my teachers. They are the best English teachers I have ever met. They helped me to identify the areas that I needed to improve and guided me through a very personalised pathway to improve my English.

Honestly, it was the support and assistance from my wonderful, professional, experienced, patient and kind teachers that helped me through the tough program. I had one on one consultation time with my teacher every week. My teacher will give feedback on my progress and help me to notice which area I need to work on harder. During my BPP program, my teacher helped me to correct my essay, word by word and sentence by sentence, to lead me to a higher level of academic writing. I often missed this support during the time in MQ, but, the good thing is, after learning with my teachers, I was then acquired the skill of proof reading.

The good things I tell my friends about living in Australia: nice weather, nice food and nice people!

I currently work for Macquarie University in China as the China Program Manager. The time in ELC is the time when I learnt my English the most in my life. And, even though I still feel the need to improve it driven by personal interest, I do feel comfortable in using English as the main language at work or with my foreign friends.
