Yearling Noms Due

REMINDER: Yearling nominations for Iowa Bred & Stallion Stakes must be postmarked by Monday Dec. 3rd or paid on-line by Monday.

Forms are |HERE|.

Besure to check the list of stallions on the Stallion Stakes Nomiation form. If you have a 2017 foal by one of the stallions listed, you are eligible to nominate. Your foal DOES NOT have to be Iowa Bred for the Stallion Stakes races.

New Stallions Added

We currently have 112 Stallions donated from 17 States. We are anticipating more stallions, so please check the list frequently |HERE|.

I can still add stallions, PLEASE send your donation form back or fill out online ASAP. Donation Form |HERE|. Thanks!

IOWA STALLION AUCTION FACTS:

ALL monies raised from our Stallion Auction are used to fund THREE Stakes races. Three 2018 Stallion Stakes races had total purses of just over $280,000.

The ONLY Stallion Auction where the donator of the stallion season is eligible to receive a $5000 per race BONUS. This year Pin Oak Stud & Shadwell Farm in Kentucky, and Rockin River Ranch in Iowa each received $5,000 because foals by their stallions won the Iowa Stallion Futurity, Stallion Stakes and Filly Stallion Stakes. Past recipients of the Bonus include Adena Springs, Alfred Nuckols Jr, Darley, Diamond G Ranch, Hill n Dale, Lanes's End, Margaux Farm, Madison County TBs, Mighty Acres, Rockin River Ranch, Special K Stables and Swifty Farms. To date we have paid out $90,000 to Stallion Farms/Owners. What other Stallion Auction does that?

ALL foals born in 2020, regardless of what state they are foaled in, are eligible to nominate to our 2022 ITBOA Stallion Futurity for two year olds and 2023 Stallion Stakes for three year olds. (Stallion Stakes will have a filly and a colt/gelding division)

Every year, before the Keeneland and Fasig-Tipton auctions, I have breeders contact me and request a list of mares in foal or foals by stallions that have sold in our Stallion Auction, because they want to have foals eligible for our Stallion Stakes races.

Last year’s auction we sold 107 Seasons for a total of $191,379. Last year we had buyers from 21 states and Canada!
