We had a great short week talking about Presidents' Day and George Washington.  The students had great ideas of what they would do if they were president.  Dr. Seuss’s birthday is on March 2nd.  We will spend this week working with his books.

• Unit Study:  We will study the great works of Dr. Seuss.
• Show and Tell:  Students need to bring in their favorite Dr. Seuss book.
• Bible:  We will continue studying about Elijah.
• Bible Verse:  Matthew 6: 9-10 “Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done. On earth as it is in heaven.”
• Reading:  We will continue practicing long and short vowels, sight words, and working in our reading groups.  We will also introduce special sounds “th-” in thick and “th-” in this. 
• Math:  We will review our 2D and 3D shapes and practice telling time.
