Where: Mileage Club Field (West side of Cross Church)
What: We are excited to host our third annual Turkey Trot event for Shiloh Christian School PH. Mileage club meets every Tuesday (Weather Permitting) in the open field by Cross Church Pinnacle Hills. The goal every week is to walk, jog, or run as many miles (laps) as possible. The students are awarded a toe token for every 5 miles they complete and the token is placed on their mileage club chain. The chains can be displayed on their backpack or in the classroom for everyone to see how many miles they’ve completed for the school year. Mileage club is part of Shiloh Christian School’s goals to develop Godly leaders in all areas of life.
Parents are welcome to attend and participate. We’d love to have a great turnout. For this event, we are encouraging parents to bring a non-perishable can good to donate to Compassion Center NWA.

Compassion Center NWA is a ministry of Cross Church and works closely with students from Shiloh Christian School to provide missional opportunities in the community. For more information, you can go to compassionnwa.com.

• Bible Verse: “Give thanks to the Lord for He is good.” Psalm 118:1 (We will recite this verse in chapel.)
• Bible: The First Thanksgiving (Although this story is not from God’s word, we will learn how this event from our history was part of God’s plan)
• Reading/Phonemic Awareness: We will introduce the vowel “Ii” and the sound that short /i/ makes (think igloo and iguana).
• Math: #7, sequencing
• Unit: The First Thanksgiving
• Show and Tell: Bring a picture (this can be drawn, printed, or a photo) of something you are thankful for!

Shiloh is hosting a special Discover Shiloh Kindergarten event on Thursday, November 21 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am on the Springdale Campus in the CMR. Join us as we tour the school, observe a kindergarten classroom, and meet our kindergarten teachers!

• November 25-29 - Thanksgiving Break
• December 2 - Students may bring a $1 or more donation for the Teacher Compassion Fund and wear spirit dress
• December 4 - Class Pictures (regular dress code clothing)
• December 5 - Christmas Chapel (with elementary and secondary students together) at 9:15 in the  Springdale Campus Worship Center

• Inclement weather policy - Information will be posted on the website as soon as a decision has been made about any school closings.  Since we are a regional school, if you deem the weather unsafe for travel, please send a note when you child returns to school to receive an excused absence.
