Spring Flours Gluten-Free Gala, The University of Chicago Celiac Disease Center’s primary fundraiser, showcases Chicago’s best chefs and bakers with more than a dozen gluten-free tasting stations. This year, the event will be held on Friday, May 6 at the Chicago Cultural Center.

Sweet Ali’s is pleased to be a part of this annual event – offering the best in gluten free!

Our latest blog included a great (and easy!) recipe for gluten free waffles.  Mix some up this weekend. 

Sweet Ali’s Pancake Mix Waffles

1 egg

1 cup milk (or dairy free alternative)

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 tablespoons melted butter (or butter alternative)

1 cup plus 2 tablespoons Sweet Ali’s Pancake Mix

In a mixing bowl, whisk together 1 egg, 1 cup milk and 1 teaspoon vanilla, then add 2 tablespoons melted butter. Add 1 cup and 2 tablespoons of Sweet Ali’s Pancake Mix and combine until flour is no longer visible, but do not overbeat.

Let waffle mixture sit for 15 minutes. 

Cook according to your waffle maker instructions.
