You’ve probably been hearing some old familiar nursery rhymes lately...if not, ask your child to tell you a few.  We will continue learning more next week.  There are so many great pre-reading skills practiced while learning them and we’re having fun!  As we continue to rhyme, please see directions below for Show and Tell.  This is “homework” and we really need everyone to participate to make our class book.  Please send this in the folder next week.

• Bible Verse: “For nothing is impossible with God.”  Luke 1:37 
• Bible: Abraham and Lot
• Phonics/Reading: Rhyming
• Math: # 3 and AB Patterns
• Unit: Nursery Rhymes
• Show and Tell: Find 2 pictures that rhyme (glue them on the two index cards that are in your child’s folder) The pictures may be from magazines, computer or hand drawn.  (Ex. kite and light)  We will make a class book of rhyming things.

Please remember to send box tops with your child. The class with the most box tops receives a trophy every month!

• September 29th: Grandparent’s Day!  Our Grandparent’s Day Program will be held at Cross Church in the Sanctuary at 8:15am - Early Dismissal - No Extended Care.
• October 5th :  Cookie Dough Orders will be delivered to the school.
• October 9th:  Flu Shot Clinic here at Shiloh PH.  More info and forms to come.
• October 16th: Parent Teacher Conferences.  No School for Students.
• October 20th:  Homecoming Party from 2:30-3:00pm.
• October 24th:  Junior Carnival at SEC Gym at Springdale Campus - Time to be determined.
