Dear Friend:

The Arizona Republic this week has run a series exposing the significant failures by Joe Arpaio's administration in investigating sex crimes against children. You can read the entire series at this link. 

This should be the straw that breaks the camel's back. We no longer can tolerate a Sheriff who believes, as he showed in the series of articles, that his failures are everyone's fault but his own. 

Arpaio's failures are why Paul Penzone has been working to bring together Maricopa County residents to end the Joe Arpaio era — and bring a renewed focus on law enforcement to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office. 

Some of our state's most important leaders — including Senator John McCain — have spoken out against Arpaio's practices and mistakes.  But these leaders have yet to weigh in on this critical race for our county and for our state.

So we'd like to ask for your help in convincing them to take a stand.

Ask them to help us show the Sheriff's race is about law enforcement, not partisan politics. Ask them to forget about political capital, and to do the right thing by joining the thousands of Maricopa County residents who support Paul Penzone for Maricopa County Sheriff.

Paul Penzone has stepped to the plate. He's fighting every day to restore trust to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office. It's time for Arizona's top leaders to take a stand as well, and bring a close to Joe Arpaio's failures in law enforcement.
