Cracking Ideas - Moving and Shaking!
Welcome to another issue of the Cracking Ideas newsletter, which this time is all about moving onwards and upwards! The "World of Cracking Ideas" exhibition is moving to a new venue in Newcastle in a few weeks' time, our website will be getting a spruce-up and we'd love to hear your thoughts on the journey so far! Don’t forget that the current competition in which you are tasked to assist Wallace & Gromit in designing a fun-filled theme park closes at midnight 31 March. If you are very quick there’s still time for you to upload your top-tastic entries so you’ll be in with a chance of winning ... but you really will have to get cracking! Exhibition on the Move
The Intellectual Property Office sponsored exhibition: "Wallace & Gromit Present: A World of Cracking Ideas" is currently having a well earned rest but will be given a fanfare, trumpet-blowing launch at Newcastle’s Life Science Centre on 16 April. Advance tickets are now available from Life so why not start planning your trip? The interactive exhibition is great fun and informative for families and school groups alike. Everyone has the opportunity to investigate Wallace & Gromit’s home at 62 West Wallaby Street and encounter (and play with!) the inventive duo’s gadgets and contraptions. You’ll also see first-hand how innovation surrounds us everywhere in our everyday lives and why we all own intellectual property. Web Changes Afoot
We are currently planning some innovative improvements to the Cracking Ideas website which will be revealed in April. The changes mean the site will be easier to access and navigate around with lots of opportunities to post comments, air your views and interact with a community of like minded innovative creators. There’s going to be lots of fun challenges, plenty of new information about how to look after your creativity and gain reward from your endeavors ... and the opportunity to win prizes for your ideas too! We know you already love the style of the website so we’ll be keeping its cracking look and, of course, innovative duo Wallace & Gromit will continue to be our superb Cracking Ideas ambassadors. In addition you’ll still have the opportunity play the brilliant games Invention Suspension and Sprocket Rocket and join the phenomenal 18.1 million players who have already pitted their wits! We’ll be running a cracking competition for 2011 – 2012 which will have a fresh, innovative exciting theme. It’s all top secret and under wraps at the moment but keep your eyes peeled for the brand spanking new competition launch in May when all will be revealed! Have Your Say!
