New membership model announced! Only 2 more weeks to take advantage of the early bird price…

We are so excited to announce a new membership model for the 2015/16 financial year.

The new model is based on sector feedback, and is designed to provide you with great value, in areas relevant to you.

To celebrate the new membership model, we are extending last year’s price until 5pm 31 July. Until then you can sign up for all the new benefits, for the same great price.

As well as providing support to your Peak body, becoming an organisational Member this year means you will receive over $600 value* for between $77* and $187*, depending on the size of your organisation!

If you are a current member, your membership is now due for renewal.

From 1 August membership prices will increase, so make sure you get in now to get maximum benefit for minimal cost.

Apply today!

Or forward this email to your CEO or Senior Manager.

*GST incl.

Even more opportunities to find the perfect match for your volunteer role!

Do you live in (or near) New Norfolk, Devonport, Brighton, Sorell, or St Helens? Exciting news: we have pop-up offices coming to you!

Our New Norfolk office will be opening next Wednesday 22 July, with other offices rolling out in the coming months.

We have already expanded our capacity in the three main offices in Hobart, Launceston and South Burnie, but we have also recently embarked on an exciting new state-wide, locally based face to face Volunteer Referral Program.

Our Volunteer Referral Program is like a match-up service for potential volunteers and organisations. Eager volunteers are interviewed about their skills and requirements, and taken through the roles on our Volunteer Connect database. They are then guided through the application process.

Would you like to volunteer as a Referral Officer? Find out more here.

Would you like us to give ‘priority promotion’ to your vacancies in these interviews? Become a member!

Work for the Dole (WFTD)

In May we held special Network Meetings where we delved into WFTD.

As a result of the discussion, we have put together our Position Statement about WFTD, along with a handy template for you to use if your organisation chooses not to participate in the initiative.

We have also written an open letter to Senator Eric Abetz regarding the scheme.

If you would like to read the letter and perhaps have your organisation become a signatory, please email us by 17 August.

Upcoming Network Meetings

Our Network Meetings are growing. Thanks to everyone who has been coming along and sharing your experience and knowledge!

The next round of network meetings are scheduled for 21 July (Hobart), 30 July (Launceston), 13 August (Burnie) and 14 August (St Helens).

Exclusive opportunity for members

We are calling for Volunteering Tasmania Members to meet with potential volunteers at our fun ‘Speed dating’ Seniors Week events in Hobart (14 October) and/or Launceston (15 October)

Come along and have fun with a group of volunteers. You might find a perfect match!

During the one hour session you will have brief one-on-one time with senior volunteers who are looking for the right role for them.

When the bell rings, the volunteer moves on to the next organisation, until you have met them all! At the end of the lighthearted session, volunteers will submit their 'match card'. If they have indicated that they'd like to progress further with your role, we will pass their details onto you.

This is a fun and efficient way to find that perfect volunteer, or promote your organisation to the community.

Light lunch will be provided.

This is a Member exclusive opportunity. If you are a member already, please send an expression of interest. The cost of this is included in your membership.
