George Birrell - Meet the Artist

Join us for the preview of George Birrell's solo show on Friday 23 August 6-8pm at the Annan Gallery.

Hulls and hulks, nets and lobster pots, crowstep gables and haar - George Birrell's paintings are instantly recognisable for their stylised composition and strong colour balance.  His recurring theme is pastoral life in the small fishing villages along the East Coast of Scotland. Birrell's one-man show runs to 8 September at Annan Gallery.  View work on website or browse the online catalogue, or download pdf.
