Announcement of new Chair of the Board


 

Ms Anne Skipper AM will take up her role as Independent Chair of the Board of Principals Australia Institute on 1 July 2016.

Anne brings to the Board 30 years of national and international experience as a company director and chair of not-for-profit, private and government organisations.

Principal Certification and the future


 

As outlined in the previous issue of the PAIge, Principals Australia Institute (PAI) is working on the development of Australian Principal Certification following the successful trial of the Portfolio Initiatives.

Online survey of school leaders coming soon


 

We are preparing the online survey for school leaders referred to in the previous issue of the PAIge.

Participating in the survey will build the profile of what assists school leaders to support teachers to support students.

Report published: The prevalence and effectiveness of anti-bullying strategies in Australian schools - UniSA


A new report about bullying in schools has been published by the University of South Australia. In 2015, Principals Australia Institute assisted the authors, Adjunct Professor Ken Rigby and Dr Kaye Johnston, to invite schools to participate in the research project with schools through the PAIge.
