We keep banging on about supporting our local wine and food producers, but in the bountiful Barossa it's so easy. Our menus feature 85% local ingredients. We collect, filter and carbonate our own rain water, yep that’s right, not many food miles in that! We recycle paper, food waste (plenty of plump chooks in the staff's chicken coops) and make good use of all waste water (plenty of water-wise plants and native scrub do their bit around the property). Keeping our community top of mind is important to us, we employ over 45 local people and have created a staff community sponsorship fund which supports charitable regional programs like Make A Wish.

Proud supporters of Australian contemporary artworks, there is plenty to feast your eye on at The Louise. The most recent addition to The Louise environs (and with one of the best views in the valley) is the piece pictured by Trent Manning. Growing up with a family owned engineering workshop in the backyard and a keen interest in steel led Trent to complete a blacksmithing course - this piece demonstrating just that. You will find many other original glass artworks, paintings, sculptures and more dotted about Appellation and The Louise.
