The FloridaCajunZydeco.com Website, your source for Florida Cajun and zydeco dance events, has some great dance events posted for February. The fun begins this weekend, so grab dance shoes and gaudy beads and head out to the nearest party.

Tonight in Region 3 you'll find JB's Zydeco Zoo playing at the 16th Annual Mardi Gras Celebration at the Cajun Cafe on the Bayou in Pinellas Park. Band plays 5-9 p.m.

Also tonight you can catch Gumbo Boogie at Ricky P's in St. Pete, 6-10 p.m.

Sunday, February 10, I am advised Andre Thierry will be profiled on the CBS News at 6:30 p.m. Andre received the West Coast Hall of Fame Award for "Best Zydeco Group 2012". As part of Corey Ledet's album, "Nothin' But The Best," Andre has received a GRAMMY nomination. If you've experienced Andre Thierry & Zydeco Magic, you're a fan. Andre Thierry & Zydeco Magic is also one of the headlining bands at San Diego's Gator By The Bay in May. Coverages of the GRAMMY Awards begins on CBS at 8 p.m. Another nominee is an album by The Band Courtbouillon which is made up of Wayne Toups, Steve Riley and Wilson Savoy.

February 12 is Fat Tuesday!

Region 1: On Tuesday, February 12 catch JB's Zydeco Zoo at Stinky's Fish Camp in Santa Rosa Beach starting at 7:30 p.m. Details at www.floridacajunzydeco.com.

Region 3: T-Broussard & the Zydeco Steppers perform at the annual Mardi Gras celebration in Dunedin after the parade about 8-9 p.m.

Region 3: Enjoy Vermont's Easy Street featuring Mark Trichka, Lisa Brande, and Mary Morella playing at the Zydeco Grille in Englewood at 6:30 p.m.

Region 3: Dwayne Dopsie and the Zydeco Hellraisers return to Cuso's in Indian Rocks Beach for a three-night stint (Friday through Sunday). If you haven't heard them before, Dwayne Dopsie's band cooks! Details are at www.floridacajunzydeco.com.

Also on Saturday, February 16 the Cajunauts are playing at The Daiquiri Shak in St. Pete Beach (Region 3).

Keith Frank & Soileau Zydeco Band

February 21-24 The Virginia Key Grassroots Festival near Miami has a lineup this year that includes Donna The Buffalo, Keith Frank & The Soileau Zydeco Band, and Preston Frank. Jerry Carrier will be teaching beginning zydeco lessons before the bands take the stage.

March 14 --- Mark your calendar for Lil Brian & The Zydeco Travelers at Bradfordville Blues Club. Address and details are listed at www.floridacajunzydeco.com.

Sue Palmer's New Orleans R'nB Review will be performing February 12 in San Diego, CA

The Bayou Brothers, Theo & The Zydeco Patrol, Sue Palmer's New Orleans R'nB Review and Euphoria Brass Band will be performing at  a new Gaslamp Quarter Mardi Gras block party on Fat Tuesday. Info at www.icajunzydeco.com.
