Dear Hope Force medical Reservists,

Greetings from Haiti!  Some of you have reached out and asked if there is a need to deploy a medical team to the earthquake zone in the southwest of Haiti.  HFI is currently assessing the situation while taking the political and civil unrest into consideration.  While our heart is always to respond immediately, we are not deploying any medical Reservists at this current time. We are in close contact with a medical rescue organization here in Haiti, and if it becomes apparent that Haiti needs international medical teams to come and help those impacted by the earthquake from Saturday, August 14, 2021, we will inform you. In the meantime, if you would like to help with the relief efforts, medical supplies are needed and financial donations will be used to purchase these supplies locally, as much as possible.
