It has begun: a bitter celebration of alpha acids and esters spanning the entire month of April. We’re pouring flights and pints of 8 of our unique IPAs plus an additional 3 guest beers from other local breweries. Each day we’ll be pairing a food special with one of these hoppy wonders.
As if that wasn’t enough, with each IPA flight, you can enter to win a raffle of Great Basin goodies like free swag, lunches, dinners and even kegs!

April 15th – for some it’s a day of joy, for others, hollow disbelief. Whether you’re rollin’ in your refund or you just sent Uncle Sam enough for a new jet, we’ll make everything better. All day long, we’ll be pouring just about all of our pints for just $2.50.
Show the man who’s boss.
Unleash your inner Picasso, even if you think you can’t paint a stick figure, all while sipping on a pint of Great Basin beer.
Talented instructors will be leading a class at our Sparks brewpub on April 14th and our Reno brewpub on April 28th from 7-9 PM. Class sizes are limited so make your reservations online today.
Look ahead to May for more classes if you miss out in April. These classes sell out fast!

Hey, You With the Paintbrush!
Patio season is fast approaching and we have patio tables that are ready for your artistic vision. To narrow the field down we're asking local artists to submit a sketch for approval. You'll get paid $25 for supplies, receive comps and a little spending money if your art is chosen. More information is available at either brewpub location.
Artists will be chosen and tables will be ready for painting in mid-April.
Closed for Easter
We’ll be closed all day April 20th for Easter.
What's your name and how long have you been at Great Basin?
Patrick McCarthy and I've been working here at Great Basin for two years.
What do you do at Great Basin?
I work in the bakery at Great Basin in Reno. My team and I make, shape and bake the bread for the restaurant.
What's your favorite part about your job?
Getting to work with the people I do… Everyone from the office to the kitchen line and everyone in between are so great. They help make my job a blast.
Tell us about the first memorable craft beer you ever had…
I had worked at Great Basin for year and a half before turning 21. On my 21st birthday the head brewer in Reno, Cameron, gave me a barrel-aged Outlaw Sour Milk Stout which started my love for sour beers.
If you were a Great Basin brew, what brew would you be?
I would be the Deathwish APA because I love to live on the edge (kinda like I have a deathwish). I’m also very sweet in the beginning, with a little spice after you get to know me.
