Premiere of 'Requiem' by Philip Moore

The Institute of Sacred Music at Yale University in New Haven, CT will be premiering Philip Moore’s Requiem on Sunday, April 23, 4:00 – 5:30 pm in Woolsey Hall. Philip Moore is the Artist in Residence at Christ Church Greenwich, spending weeks at a time with us during Advent, Christmas, Holy Week and Easter, and composing many pieces for our choirs. Marguerite L. Brooks will conduct the premiere and Thomas Murray will play the organ. This performance is open to the public and admission is free. Learn more >

How did 24 Maasai students get ready to go to Secondary School over 1.5 hours away from home in five days? The packing list included bedding, mattress, three buckets, metal trunk, broom, hoe, school uniforms, shoes and socks, sweater and food for half the year, plus school supplies.
Join us at the 10:10 Exploration Series in the Chapel on Sunday, April 30 as Cheryl Kyle and Karen Royce will show slides and speak about Endupoto Primary School and Oljoro Secondary School. Follow the miraculous trail from January 2008, when there wasn’t an elementary school to attend, to Endupoto’s first graduation, and then to the enrollment of all the qualified graduates in government boarding schools. See the power of education in this very rural area.
