Employment initiative opens grants

A new jobs initiative for Victorians will engage organisations working with multicultural communities to empower young people.

Tailored to support people who traditionally face the most complex barriers to employment and who are not well serviced by the Commonwealth system, the program will include refugees and asylum seekers, retrenched workers, the long-term unemployed, disengaged young people, people with disabilities, public housing tenants and Aboriginal Victorians.

The Jobs Victoria Employment Network will provide $25 million in grants and invites service providers working with multicultural communities to apply.
