2011 is in full swing here at VentureWeb HQ and the spring season brings with it a renewed commitment to sharing with our friends and Clients. Response to our recent launch of the 'VW Quickies' newsletter series has been encouraging, and we will continue to focus on industry trends and topics we’re tapping into via that means. But for those of you who have missed our more sociable VentureLife reports, this edition is for you. The first in a quarterly series, here's what we've been up to lately.

New Year's in the Backcountry

Can you imagine ringing in the New Year with acres and acres of fresh powder to share between yourself and just a snowcatful of others? We can! Read more...

Frog Slays Dragon

Frog Slays Dragon

The folks at Frogbox had to hop to it when they decided to franchise their operation throughout North America. VentureWeb was charged with building a brand new website that would drive customer bookings and help Frogbox founder Doug Burgoyne make the leap. And he’s already got the attention of some pretty hot company...including some Dragons! Read more...

From Pole to Pole

From Pole to Pole

The Dragon’s Den isn’t the only hot spot in the VentureWorld right now; in fact, we think you’ll warm up to the idea of an Antarctic adventure with Adventure Network International once you get a look at their new VentureWeb-designed website, scheduled to go live in the coming weeks. Then head way north to discover our recently redeveloped Alyeska Resort blog, set to fire up their already active social media blogosphere. Read more...

Skigraphiks 2011

Skigraphiks 2011

This year, we enhanced our G3skigraphiks.com contest platform to include more ways to share comments and vote for entries. Surpassing last year's numbers, this contest's popularity continues to grow. Read more on SkiGraphiks or check out James' latest blog on Social Contesting , the focus of our VW Quickie earlier this month. (Stay tuned for the May edition on "Measuring Your Social Media Efforts.")

Return to Telluride

Return to Telluride

Last fall James ventured to Telluride to meet with our good friends at Telluride Tourism Board and chat with the folks at Telluride Mountainfilm Festival. Now April, TTB's central reservations are up 17% over Q1 last year, and we are less than a month away from launching the new Mountainfilm website. Look forward to another roadtrip report after James takes in the Mountainfilm Festival the Memorial Day long weekend.
