Detours starting July 14 for Leoti and Piros at Constitution Avenue

Construction of a new water pipeline will require the following temporary closure/detours along Constitution Avenue:

• Beginning July 14: Leoti Drive intersection north of Constitution
• Beginning as early as July 17: Piros Drive intersection north of Constitution

Both detours/closures are expected to last for several days. Residents near Leoti and Piros are asked to use alternate access points to their neighborhood, such as Peterson Road and Bismark Road. Area residents and motorists should use extra caution around these activities.

Construction at these intersections was rescheduled for the summer months to avoid impacting District 49 students and school operations. Major construction in the roadway associated with this project is nearing completion. Activities later this summer will include resurfacing and restriping resulting in ongoing traffic restrictions along Constitution Avenue between Marksheffel Road and Powers Boulevard.
