The Episcopal Church welcomes you
Missioner's Message

Dear Relatives,

The Episcopal Church has always sought to work together with people of other faiths to encourage balance and understanding where all people are equal: the marginalized and the powerful, the poor and the wealthy, men and women, children and the elderly. The year has brought calls for advocacy around furthering the healing and reconciling work of the Doctrine of Discovery and poverty eradication. It has been my great privilege to connect leaders to common advocacy goals.

Bishop Michael’s Wintertalk 2013 Sermon on Mark of Mission 2

Human beings have an empty space in us that can only be filled by the Divine. That would help to explain why so many in our culture today consider themselves “spiritual, but not religious.” It also explains why so many of us try to fill that spiritual void in our lives with substances, chemicals, alcohol and even other people. We are in fact hungry for God, even if we do not recognize it.
