The limitations of data-only services for Public Transport providers

The amount of data being transferred between Public Transport vehicles and their control centres is increasing. As a result, many Public Transport vehicles now only support data communications services that no longer provide voice. The question is: “Is there still a need for voice communications in Public Transport operations?”

Manchester orders an additional twelve Light Rail Vehicles from Bombardier and Vossloh Kiepe

Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) is exercising an option for “M 5000” high-floor Light Rail Vehicles with Bombardier Transportation and Vossloh Kiepe.
