Hi there,

What Grandma’s pumpkin pie taught me about finances

November is one of my favorite months because it’s my birthday! Growing up I hated cake, but was absolutely obsessed with pumpkin pie! So, we usually had a pumpkin pie for my birthday. One year my Grandma made a pumpkin pie from scratch and something was not right about it. We all held back our faces of disgust to respect grandma. But once my Grandma took a bite, she yelled, OH NO, I forgot the sugar! I learned a lesson that day. In order for something to turn out just right, we have to make sure we do everything in order and include all of the ingredients. When it comes to our finances, we should take the advice of our financial institution while understanding our personal needs and maintaining a proper budget for our lifestyle. If we don’t, we could end up with some major disappointment, just like that pumpkin pie.
