Meet Daisy, one of CPC's 80,000 community members!
Daisy participates in CPC's Adult Literacy Program, which will be at CPC One.
Daisy immigrated to the U.S. over a year ago and has been living in New York since. She was connected to CPC's Adult Literacy Program by a friend who also receives essential support from CPC's 50+ programs.
Before she began taking our Adult Literacy classes, Daisy only knew a few words of English. Now, she can comfortably and confidently use English in her everyday life!
"I'm encouraged because CPC can help so many people... I think CPC programs are very helpful to improve lives," Daisy shares.
This year, Daisy will continue to take Adult Literacy classes at our new permanent Manhattan home, CPC One.

About CPC's Adult Literacy Program
CPC's Adult Literacy Program first opened its doors to students in 1998 to help community members overcome language barriers by providing free, high-quality English instruction to New York City residents 18+ years old.
In 2023, the Adult Literacy program served 1,308 community members like Daisy.
About CPC One
In a few short months, CPC One will open. Our first-ever permanent Manhattan home will house our Manhattan Community Center across three floors, include over 200 units of affordable housing, and serve as headquarters for our 50+ programs across New York City.
