Durham soars in latest world university rankings
|
|
Durham University has further enhanced its position as one of the world’s leading universities. Following on from Durham University’s 13 place rise to 70th in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2015-16 in September 2015, the University has also achieved a 20 place rise in the THE World University Rankings subject league tables for Social Sciences, the faculty the business school is part of, to 36th in the word, entering the top 50 for the first time in this subject league table.

Frank Wege: Mentor of the year
|
|
We are delighted to announce that Frank Wege is DUBS Mentor of the Year 2015. To meet the demand for mentors in financial services, Rahul Kaul, one of Frank’s four mentees commented, “Frank has been extremely supportive and helpful to me throughout the year. He has been in touch on a regular basis, sharing his experience of the MBA and of corporate life. He has given me invaluable advice on various occasions for my modules, projects and general career.” Frank joins our elite mentors Claire Rose (MBA 1996), Lee Ho Tung (Global MBA 2004) and Elizabeth Scott (Exec MBA 2003) who have been recognised for their exceptional support of our current students.

Local entrepreneur and author Peter Wilcock (MBA 2012) spoke to DUBS first year undergraduate students Business and Management students on Thursday 22nd October, telling them that the main constraint on their future would be their own belief in their own ability. He drew on his new book The Business Whisperer to illustrate his points.
