Paula Trimble-Familettie ’76 won a gold medal at the 2015 Illumination Book Awards in the “Bible Study” category for her book, Prostitutes, Virgins and Mothers: Questioning Teachings about Biblical Women (2014).

Lauren Potts ’15, Dylan Trumbull ’14, Hannah Karsen ’12 and Sydney Snyder ’10, along with a group of independent artists, formed Patient Experience, an art collective that sheds light on and sparks conversation about illness. Read more »

Gabriel Serrato-Buelna ’97, owner and founder of Serrato+Co., a public relations, marketing and branding agency, signed actress Lilimar Hernandez of Nickelodeon’s Bella and the Bulldogs.

Chapman50 member hosts interview with Chapman Trustee David Pyott
Last month Chapman50 founding member and chair of career and industry partnerships Alex Hayden '95 hosted a C-Suite Exchange event with special guest David E. I. Pyott, Chapman University trustee and former CEO of Allergan.
Dean Reginald Gilyard of the Argyros School of Business and Economics interviewed Pyott about "Leading in Turbulent Times," particularly focusing on the challenges of facing a $45 billion hostile takeover attempt by Valeant head-on, and creating a better outcome for his shareholders and employees by being acquired by Actavis for $70 billion. Special Olympics athletes earn smiles, sweat and cheers at Chapman University
Chapman was honored to welcome the Special Olympics World Games Los Angeles 2015 teams from Canada and Senegal to campus last month.
During their visit, graduate athletic training students worked with the athletes, assisting with stretching, calisthenics, warm-ups and yoga exercises. At the Games, a group of graduate communication sciences and disorders students assisted the Special Olympics Healthy Hearing team. Read more »
