2nd Grade eNews

We had a great time on our field trip! Thanks to all of you for making the day special!  We are looking forward to conferences! Please make sure and check with your child’s teacher for your conference time. There is no school on Monday.

• Bible - Ruth 1:16 “For wherever you go, I will go, and wherever you live, I will live; your people will be my people and your God will be my God.”
• Reading - We will be reading a story on storms. Our reading skill will be over the main idea and details.
• Spelling - We are working on consonant digraphs this week:
• dish  than  chest   such  thin  push  shine  chase  white  while  these  flash  place  year
• Grammar - Verbs
• Math - Adding 2 digit numbers, Renaming to add, and adding 3 and 4 addends

It’s almost time for the annual Junior Class FALL CARNIVAL & SILENT AUCTION! Tuesday, October 23rd from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm in the SEC Gym. There will be games, candy, food & fun – what more could you ask for! $10 wristbands will be sold for unlimited play time.

• October 15 - Parent/Teacher Conferences - No School
• October 23 - Jr. Carnival in the SEC Gym from 5-7p.m. - Students may come in non-scary costumes.
• October 31 - Picture Retakes
• November 5-9 - Book Fair
