GREETING FROM THE EXHIBITIONISTS IN GEORGETOWN AND ST. PAUL!

Calling all Lords and Ladies! The Exhibitionists are very excited to announce their 2013 Spring-Summer exhibition releases at the American Alliance of Museums (AAM) Annual Meeting & MuseumExpo in Baltimore, May 19-22, 2013 followed by EcSite Annual Conference in Gothenburg, Sweden, June 6-8, 2013.

THE CULTISH POPULARITY of Downton Abbey has fans from around the world tuning in to this PBS spectacle. Tune in to the fashion highlights of EDG's Dressing Downton in your own museum's gallery. Museum guests will be immersed in the period just before and just after the First World War, when society underwent many changes as did the reigning fashion of the day. Delight in the changing fashion, the use of beautiful textiles and the fine detail in the costumes of Downton. Visitors will see the influence this era still has on today's classic apparel. No doubt this tour will fill up quickly.

THE EXHIBITIONISTS also present one of the most important surveys of American art in an exhibition that celebrates the artistic community known as the Cornish Colony.  Painters, sculptors, musicians, poets, activists and authors, all of whom lived in close quarters in Cornish, New Hamphshire at the turn of the twentieth century, represent a time of social change in the U.S. through art.

EDG AND ITS PARTNERS Fondazione Giorgio Cini and Factum-Arte, who brought you the Arts of Piranesi, present their second major collaboration, Penelope's Labour:  Weaving Words & Images. The most unique and breathtaking presentation of textiles from the 15th century together with contemporary works offer a detailed look at this highly-praised 2011 Venice Biennale entry. Tapestries featured include:  The Siege of Jerusalem after the Master of Coëtivy, 15th century; and recent works by Marc Quinn and Grayson Perry among many others. The exhibition is curated by Jerry Brotton and Adam Lowe.
