It's never too late to join Chapman’s community garden! Located in the Davis quad, garden beds can be reserved by Chapman students and staff for free! Solar-Powered Charging Tables There are benches equipped with solar-powered outlets and charging ports located on the Davis Quad and Masson Family Beach Club (by the pool and volleyball court.) These solar-powered stations contribute to the university's commitment to sustainability, utilizing renewable energy to meet the everyday needs of the campus community! EV Charging Stations If you drive an electric car and have a chapman email address, use the ChargePoint app to easily locate one of the many EV charging stations we have across campus. Free Food Alert AppIn collaboration with the Student Government Association, we have launched the Free Food Alert program! Through email or the Free Food Alert app, students are notified of free meals that would otherwise go to waste. Since launching, the program has gained 597 student subscribers and held 17+ food giveaways. Free Food Alert is open to students, staff, and faculty at both the Orange and Rinker campuses. Thinking globally and acting locally, Bee Campus USA provides a framework for university and college campus communities to work together to conserve native pollinators by increasing the abundance of native plants, providing nest sites, and reducing the use of pesticides. With successful implementation at Cal Poly Pomona, UCLA, UCI, and UCR, Chapman hopes it can be next on the list for doing its part to save the bees.
