We've re-launched the "Building Great Australian Lives" campaign on social media and would encourage you to share the video with your networks. As the school year commences, we are also excited to announce that we are able to support an additional 22 students in 2019 with funds raised through the end of year donations drive. A big thank you to our generous donors for their support and helping to change the lives of even more students in public education. And, a reminder to educators across Australia to apply for our Principal, Teacher and Emerging Leader Scholarships. Applications close on 26 February 2019. The Public Education Foundation Team Teachers ScholarshipsOur Teachers Scholarships highlight the important role of teachers in transforming the lives of students. Theses scholarships provide professional development opportunities to help these teachers excel. The First State Super Teachers Scholarship is designed specifically to support a public school teacher who teaches Early State One or Stage One (K-2). The Public Education Foundation’s Teachers Health Early Career Scholarship supports public primary and secondary school teachers in the first three years of their career. Emerging Leaders ScholarshipThis new Teachers Mutual Bank Emerging Leaders Scholarship provides a scholarship for emerging education leaders to undertake a short professional leadership program at Harvard Kennedy School in the USA. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to explore modes of collaborative working and to identify opportunities for innovative leadership. Principals ScholarshipsThe Public Education Foundation recognises the pivotal role that principals play in transforming student outcomes and bolstering education standards. Three scholarship opportunities are offered for mid-career Principals to ‘reflect, refocus and recharge’ through professional education programs at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Food Tech ScholarshipFor budding cooks, the NSW Cookery Teachers Association Scholarship assists public school students completing Year 12 in 2018 who intend to continue to university to study a Bachelor of Education (Secondary) or equivalent with a major in Food Technology. In 2019, three scholarships are available. Each scholarship has a value of $6,000 per year for 3 years. Applications close on 26 February, 2019.
