Youth Visioning Summit

April 28 - 29, 2017

Christ Church Greenwich is committed to our young people, and to creating and re-energizing a vibrant program and community for them to grow in love and spirit in our congregation.  The newly formed Youth Group Committee invites you to a gathering to give input, exchange ideas, brainstorm, and help us create a new program.  Learn more & RSVP >

Join the Fun!

How did 24 Maasai students get ready to go to Secondary School over 1.5 hours away from home in five days?  The packing list included bedding, mattress, three buckets, metal trunk, broom, hoe, school uniforms, shoes and socks, sweater and food for half the year, plus school supplies.

Join us at the 10:10 Exploration Series in the Chapel on Sunday, April 30 as Cheryl Kyle and Karen Royce share slides and speak about Endupoto Primary School and Oljoro Secondary School.  Follow the miraculous trail from January 2008, when there wasn’t an elementary school to attend, to Endupoto’s first graduation, and then to the enrollment of all the qualified graduates in government boarding schools. See the power of education in this very rural area.

We observe Redemption Sunday every year during the season of Easter.  Redemption itself is the theme of this holiest of seasons, as we have been redeemed through the love of God shown in the resurrection.  Each year we focus on one part of the gift of redemption: those who have been redeemed in their journey of life which has included incarceration.  Many Christ Church Greenwich parishioners have been and are involved in prison ministry.  Redemption Sunday celebrates their commitment and the renewal of life for people incarcerated and in the criminal justice system.  Our guest speaker this year is Keith Barile, a former inmate at the Niantic Annex Correctional Institute, he now serves as a volunteer for their Alternatives to Violence and Hospice programs.
