Access Mental Health supersedes the Mental Health Services Helpline, and the number is 1800 332 388. I welcome this milestone for the Tasmanian Mental Health Reform Program. As always be in touch if you would like to know anything else. Warm regards Wendy Groot, CEO Epilepsy Tasmania. Epilepsy Peer Support GroupsEpilepsy Tasmania now has three Peer Support groups, for adults with epilepsy and carers, meeting on a regular basis in Launceston and Hobart. This gives people living with epilepsy, or families and carers of people with epilepsy, the opportunity to meet others in similar circumstances to talk about their stories and share tips, information, feelings and experiences with those who have a shared understanding. Meetings focus on topics or themes suggested by the groups, with anything from; medication, isolation, diet, well-being, driving, memory etc. We hope these sessions are giving people a chance to talk freely, openly and give them a voice on epilepsy. We're also offering individual peer support.
