What fun we had when the portable pumpkin patch came to visit us! We learned about how pumpkins grow, played in a trailer full of corn, and chose a pumpkin to take home. Ask your child to tell you some of the “friends” that we learned are found at a pumpkin patch. Each child worked so hard creating a book that helps us remember the life cycle of a pumpkin. And, of course, another favorite part of this unit on pumpkins was tasting a delicious pumpkin treat!
Wow! We can hardly believe that it is November! Next week, we will begin our unit on the First Thanksgiving. We love teaching the children how God was intricately involved in this part of our history. We also want to focus on being thankful for our many blessings. Each teacher is so thankful for the children we teach and for the parents! Thank you for sending your child to Shiloh and allowing us to share part of our days with your child!
It’s almost time for the Blue/Gold Basketball Game & Pancake Supper! Join us on November 7 for this annual fundraiser for the Shiloh Band & Basketball team. The Pancake supper is from 5 pm - 7 pm in the cafeteria, followed by the Blue/Gold Game in the SEC gym from 6 pm – 8 pm. You can purchase tickets for $5 from any band or basketball team member, or get your ticket that night. The BOOK FAIR will also be open in the library so you can shop with your students!
