Hi there,

Combine the might and data of Kiwi online retail platform Trade Me with real estate data and analytics provider CoreLogic and what do you get?

The two companies are hoping the answer is a powerhouse of data insights to further lubricate the supercharged New Zealand real estate market.

The deal brings together CoreLogic’s data, sourced from mandatory local council and industry reporting, with Trade Me Property's search insights to create a better view of the full property ownership lifecycle, from the first house hunt through to sales and settlement.

It will further enhance Trade Me's existing property insights and is another example of the growing power of data and the relationships being forged to capitalise on data’s potential value. Just last month CoreLogic partnered with global insurance risk assessor Munich Re to model climate risk exposures for individual properties across Australia and New Zealand.

Forget data is the new oil, it’s the new real estate.

In other news this week:

  • Covid boosts the subscription economy
  • Enterprises dabbling with lots of cloud, but lacking depth (or is that height?)
  • Researchers slam lack of AI transparency
  • IoT lighting the way for saving Queensland's turtles

We’ve also got some advice on improving your Excel skills for budgeting and forecasting – apparently this old dog does have some new tricks.

Enjoy the read,
