Second Grade eNews
Please don’t forget we are out of school Friday, March 16. The following week will be our Spring Break, NO SCHOOL March 19-23. We will see the students again on Monday, March 26. Enjoy this time with your families!
Next Week
-
Bible: We will study the compassion of Jesus. Our memory verse will be: Matthew 9:36 “When He saw the crowds, He felt compassion for them, because they were weary and worn out, like sheep without a shepherd.” We will say the verse on Thursday.

Reading: We will work on the skill, Character. Our story will be “Gloria, Who Might be my Best Friend.”

Phonics: Homophones: meet meat week weak mane main tail tale be bee too two sea see threw through

We will take our spelling test on Thursday.

Grammar: We will continue working with adjectives.

Writing: We will be writing about our best friend.

Math: We will finish up our chapter on Geometry and test on Wednesday. We will review time and problem solving on Thursday.
Important Dates

March 14: We will be choosing a student from our class to say our Easter Speech.

March 15: Student-Led Conferences 3:15-5:30, this will usually take about 15 minutes.

March 16-23: NO SCHOOL - SPRING BREAK

March 29: Easter Chapel at 8:30 in the Cross Church Sanctuary. This is not an early dismissal day.

March 30: NO SCHOOL Good Friday

April 9-13: This will be the week of TN3 testing. Please do not schedule any doctor or dentist appointments during the morning of this week.

April 11: Transition meeting for second grade parents on main campus at 11:30 in the CMR.

April 18: We will go to the Bat Caves with main campus. More detials to come later. Parents may not attend due to limited space in the caves.

May 4: Field Day! Details to come from Coach Beers
