SEIA Western States Lobby Day June 22nd, 2017

Our Managing Director, Dr. Daniel Faltermeier, headed to Washington D.C. to talk policy with lawmakers during SEIA's Western States Lobby Day. Thanks to the organizers at SEIA (The Solar Energy Industries Association), and to all the lawmakers and their staffs who came to the table willing to talk about the future of the Solar Industry. It was a constructive series of meetings in the heart of the U.S. capitol.

More Information in the VCOM Sidebar

The sidebar is becoming more informative in the VCOM June release.
It now provides you with an overview of the number and installed power of the listed systems. The new display replaces the “power data” portlet.
Tip: With the shortcut key “L” (list), the sidebar can be easily shown and hidden.

New KPI Area in the VCOM Evaluation

Key performance indicators (KPI) provide the system owner with a quick overview of their systems’ performance. The performance ratio (PR) and system availability offer special insights in particular.
This information is now available in an evaluation area in the new category called Key Performance Indicators. The KPI area are currently being developed and will have new updates soon.

Usability: Small Features, Big Impact

To lighten your workload and to make it as efficient as possible, we continuously refine the VCOM interface and improve its user friendliness. We would like to present in particular two improvements that will go online as part of the June release:

• The alarm info portlet displays the relevant graphs when alarms occur. Clicking the chart icon now takes you to the evaluation area on the system level for in-depth analysis.

•  We have redesigned the status overview in the ticket portlet and significantly improved the structure. The subsections can be shown or hidden as needed. The system saves your preferences so you see only the information relevant to you.

blue’Log Events in the VCOM Evaluation Area

The dataloggers of the blue’Log X series send their status and the error codes of the inverters as event values to the VCOM. In the evaluation area, you will find these events listed in table form with the exact time stamps. To find this information, use the Detail tab beneath the inverter graphs.
