It’s not too late…

Dubai’s newest hotels

Dubai has some of the finest hotels in the world. And never a city to stand still, the ribbon was cut on even more outstanding hotels in 2015. Here is just a selection…

In the first half of the year, three very special hotels welcomed their first guests: Manzil Downtown Dubai in January, Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights in March, and in May, the InterContinental Dubai Marina.

In November, and with much excitement, the Palazzo Versace Dubai and The St. Regis Dubai opened their doors for the very first time.

New attractions and hotels for 2016

As if LEGOLAND Dubai, LEGOLAND Water Park and Bollywood Parks Dubai weren’t enough, there are two more incredible theme parks on their way for 2016:

Motiongate Dubai – a world where you can play the hero and relive your favourite movies. There are 5 zones and 27 immersive attractions to choose from – Ghostbusters to Kung Fu Panda and The Hunger Games to Hotel Transylvania.

IMG Worlds of Adventure – the world’s largest indoor theme park will feature four epic zones (Cartoon Network, MARVEL, IMG Boulevard and Lost Valley – Dinosaur Adventure) with adrenaline-pumping rides and other spine-tingling attractions.

Also expected to open for 2016: Rove Zabeel; Dukes Oceana, Palm Jumeirah; Hilton Garden Inn Dubai Mall of the Emirates; Viceroy Dubai Palm and Jumeirah Al Naseem.

UK events in October and November

26th October (pictured top), we hosted a dinner at the Conrad Hotel for Travel2's top London agents. On the same day, we co-hosted an event including dinner, presentations and games with Hilton Hotels and Ras Al Khaimah Tourism.

28th October (pictured 2nd top), we co-sponsored Lusso's brochure launch and awards event at the Dorchester Hotel, London. The evening included networking, dinner, presentations and prize giving. Also on the 28th, we joined the Royal Caribbean Roadshow in Glasgow where 65 agents and cruise specialists enjoyed an Arabian buffet, presentations, a quiz to win a Dubai fam trip place; co-hosted by Emirates, RCCL and DTCM (pictured middle).

In October and November we ran Simply Luxury Roadshows with Travel2 in Bristol, Glasgow, Manchester and London. In total, 140 luxury agents attended and enjoyed training, dinners, cooking classes and prizes (pictured second to bottom).

On 23rd November, we joined other sponsors Abu Dhabi Tourism, Oman Tourism and Emirates, at the Royal Caribbean roadshow at the Malmaison Hotel in Manchester (pictured bottom). After a training workshop, everyone was treated to an Arabian buffet dinner.

A treat for food lovers

Dubai has some of the very best restaurants in the world, but it's not all 5-star gourmet experiences. Frying Pan Adventures has been uncovering the rich and authentic culinary experiences that Dubai has to offer for years and these are two of their new experiences.

Experience local flavours on a 'Shop, Sizzle, Savour' tour. Buy the freshest catch from Dubai’s old market and enjoy it in the surroundings of what was once a pearling merchant’s home.

Or why not tantalise your taste buds at a decadent tea party with Artisanal Chocolate and Tisanes (herbal infusions) inspired by the flavours of the local Spice Souk.

November's Fam trips

11th-15th November (top), DTCM escorted 13 agents from Dawson and Sanderson. The group stayed at Jumeirah Beach Hotel and JA Palm Tree Court. Activities included a yacht trip with Exclusive Yachts and a desert safari with Arabian Adventures who also provided the transfers.

13th-17th November (bottom), DTCM, Emirates, Starwood Hotels & Alpha Tours sponsored a fam trip for Trailfinders. The group stayed at Grosvenor House Hotel and The Westin Mina Seyahi Beach Resort. Highlights included a hot air balloon ride with Balloon Adventures, Aquaventure, a desert safari and At The Top SKY at the Burj Khalifa.
