Wins
The India Cookbook we designed for Phaidon has been voted 'Best Indian Cuisine Cookbook in the World' at the 2011 Gourmand Cookbook Awards. Author Pushpesh Pant compiled over 1000 recipes from all over India to create the first comprehensive home cooking guide to Indian cuisine. The design and presentation of India Cookbook – which comes in a bag reminiscent of an Indian rice bag – was been praised for its impact and originality. The Gourmand Cookbook Awards is presented annually at the Paris Cookbook Fair and includes entries from authors and publishers in over 150 countries.
We’re also proud to announce that we have won an Australia-wide tender to brand Broken Hill as the city seeks to reposition itself in wide range of markets including tourism, events, film and education.

Flood Relief Auction
Frost* Design is proudly supporting the Queensland flood relief effort by donating a sculptural piece to the Design College Australia auction which will take place on 18 March.
Design College Australia sent out an SOS to the global design community to donate artwork for the flood relief. A huge number of the world’s prominent designers responded, with pieces donated from the likes of Milton Glaser, Neville Brody, Stefan Sagmeister and David Carson to name a few.
We donated ‘Poke’, a sculpture we created for Graphic Material, an exhibition held as part of the Sydney Design Festival last year. We took a two-dimensional word and brought it to life as a three dimensional structure. The artwork uses protruding steel rods to spell out the word.
Head to the Design College Australia in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley on 18 March and bid on some world-class artwork. All money raised will go to the Premier’s Disaster Relief Fund.
