paperless car - reminders

If you’ve taken a trip in a Modo car this month, it’s likely you’ve noticed some changes! Many of our vehicles are now paperless, meaning there is no longer a trip log to fill out. If you don’t see a log book in the vehicle, check for a sticker located either where the log book would normally go, or just above the driver’s side visor. This sticker provides instructions on how to navigate through our paperless car.

Fuel cards should be in all our vehicles, stored in the Modo pouch near the ignition. When purchasing gas, there is no need for a receipt. When you get into a Modo vehicle, please check for the card. If it's is missing, please report this to Modo by phoning 604.685.1393. Failure to return the fuel card to the vehicle after a gas purchase may result in a fine of $25.

some cars will keep trip logs through march

A handful of vehicles will continue to use trip logs in March. These vehicles will be described as having trip logs in Engage in the car information screen, the car notes screen, the booking details screen, and in your booking confirmation email. And of course, there will be a book of trip logs on the driver's side visor!

If the vehicle you’ve booked still uses a trip log, please fill out the trip log as per usual. Thank you!

business members: have you joined our damage pool?

One of the benefits of carsharing is sharing the cost of damage. Modo has a Damage Pool that members, including business members, can join. If there is ever any damage caused during your booking, the cost to repair will come from the Damage Pool. The typical charge for repairing damage, if not part of the pool or covered by your credit card, is $500.

Business members' monthly fee for the Damage Pool is based on the number of carsharers you have enrolled in your business member account. It's a simple process to join - apply here! If you'd like more information about your insurance options as a business member, click here or email business@modo.coop.

meals on wheels volunteers get around with modo

One of Vancouver’s longest running hot meals programs is the Health and Home Care Society of BC’s Meals on Wheels. Now including service in Cantonese, Meals on Wheels volunteers deliver more than 400 meals each day to homebound seniors, caregivers, people with chronic medical conditions or recovering from surgery, and new mothers.

Modo is proud to once again support Meals on Wheels by providing carsharing for volunteers who don’t have access to a vehicle. This makes it possible for more people to volunteer for the organization and make those deliveries happen!

If you’d like to get involved with Meals on Wheels, please visit their website at carebc.ca or phone 604-732-7638. Facebook Like Button
