Join us in celebrating our 40th year

39 years ago yesterday, our center opened its doors for the first time, welcoming members of Brown's community and beyond to examine, learn, and organize around issues of gender and issues that concern women in particular.

Though we started at 185 Meeting St. (pictured above) and are now housed at 26 Benevolent, our mission as a center remains largely the same: to provide a comfortable, yet challenging place for students, faculty, and staff to explore issues of gender and all other identities with which gender intersects.

Whether it's your first or final year on campus, we hope you'll take some time this year to join in the celebration of our 40th anniversary and get more involved with our center as we we continue to serve Brown and its surrounding communities.

Read more below about two events we're hosting this month, or feel free to pop into our center at any time for a mug of free tea -- you can find us at 26 Benevolent St. from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
