External Stampede Parking benefitting Youth and Flood Victims

Local Olympian and Calgary Business Owners offer Stampede Parking, Bike Valet and Shuttle = Fundraiser for Flood Victims and Youth-focused Causes!

“As with everything in life, our project started out with a vision...
The true achievement of an Olympian is not only competing at the Olympic Games, it's what is done after to be an ambassador of the Olympic title, to do good in the community and to be a role model for others,” states Christina Smith, pioneer of Women’s Bobsleigh as an Olympic Sport in Canada.

Christina shares this passion of giving back with two other business owners, Jeannette Sirois and Joe Koster. They were driven to join forces to create 'GENeR8s'. It stands for Generation of Sustainability.

GENeR8s is a local social enterprise focusing on raising funds to empower local youth and promote sustainability.

“Our Stampede Parking is held at 803-24 Avenue SE in the Ramsay Exchange East Lot during the Calgary Stampede. It's GENeR8s way of providing a valuable service and giving back to the community,” says Ms Smith enthusiastically.

Parking at Ramsay Exchange includes VIP treatment.

Services available include:

Shuttle Services - shuttle service to and from the south gate of Stampede Park is provided by Southland Transportation.

Bike Valet Services - NEW to the Stampede: Bike Valet parking is provided as part of a community-based initiative called LocalMotion Calgary.

Party Lift and Transport Services – as a solution to avoid drinking and driving, GENeR8s is partnered up with InLine Towing to bring both you and your vehicle home safely via a tow or flatbed truck service even better than a taxi ride!

About the GENeR8s Organization and Its People:
“We identify youth oriented non-profits requiring support through an application process. The first round of support is based on value alignment. Additional funding is based on transparency and measurable impact,” states Joe Koster.

Thank you to the many businesses and associations who are contributing time and resources to make this happen.

Park for a Cause
Calgarians and visitors can park for a cause at the Ramsay Exchange during Stampede. By parking their cars, RVs, oversize vehicles or bikes at the Ramsay Exchange, they help raise money for local charities and not-for-profits serving youth and flood victims.
