Hi there,

The future of work has been a hot topic for a while now with digital technology and the 'art of the possible' (groan) changing the face of work, but Covid has triggered the afterburners and accelerated change. However new research from Forrester is warning that while the future of work is coming sooner than expected, most organisations’ workforce strategies are woefully unprepared for it.

We are talking beyond Zoom or Teams 'Pro' accounts here. Forrester says the necessary tools and strategies, largely centred around bringing the humans along for the ride, were already on the radar for most companies.

It’s just that now the priority needs to change.

When it comes to forced transformation, the events industry has been one hugely impacted by Covid, so it is pleasing to now see important industry events such as the CIO Summit back on the calendar (along with several others). This year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever with new venues – both physical and virtual.

In other news this week:

  • Hybrid innovation for CIO Summit
  • Lion Breweries' ransomware rort, and why you'd better be prepared
  • The robotic 3PL taking on Amazon's challenge
  • RMIT Industry 4.0 deal shows way for education + industry collaboration

And we also take a look at how to create a data-driven business, with pointers on gaining actionable insights out of your existing data repositories.

Enjoy the read,
