Thank You for Supporting CPC Queens Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month BenefitChinese-American Planning Council (CPC) held the Queens Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month Benefit on the evening of May 29 at Terrace on the Park in Flushing Meadows Corona Park. Drawing over 400 philanthropic, corporate, government, and community leaders, the event celebrated the power of the AAPI community and raised vital funds for CPC's impactful programs and services for 20,000 Queens residents.

We were honored to celebrate our benefit with Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz, Council Members Shekar Krishnan, Linda Lee, Sandra Ung, Nantasha Williams, Judges Evelyn Gong, Cassandra Johnson, Karen Lin, and Frances Wang, Consul General of Malaysia Amir Farid Abu Hasan, and U.S. Commission on Civil Rights Glenn Magpantay. We also welcomed representatives from the offices of Governor Kathy Hochul, Mayor Eric Adams, U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, State Attorney General Letitia James, State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli, State Senator John Liu, Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie, City Council Speaker Adrienne Adams, New York City Department for the Aging, New York City Department of Youth and Community Development, and New York City Commission on Human Rights.
The evening featured performances by contemporary electronic dance music group led by Yut Chia, Tai Look Lion Dance Group, and Two Piano Journey, a mother-and-son piano duo featuring CPC Board Member Christopher Kuo and his mother, Michelle Chen Kuo.
